Machu Picchu/Apurimac Rafting

This will be a custom trip with a relaxed approach to adventure.

Day1: Arive Lima, Group Dinner at the "Brisas del Titicaca".
We will be staying at the JW Marriott so that we can all start the trip well rested.

Day 2: Flights to Cuzco, the group will enjoy a day of sightseeing and culinary delights and opportunity to visit Inca ruins. New Years Eve! We will stay in a hotel on the plaza de armas for a party like no other.

Day 3:
Everyone will get a chance to learn or practice rafting in a Creature Craft on the Urubamba River class IV. This is a great section of fun contenuous flow river. On the return trip we will visit inca ruins.

Day 4-7: We travel on a private bus to our put-in, Huallpachaca Bridge (1,700 feet), the journey is impressive driving through dramatic Andean landscape and villages. We reach the Apurimac river in the afternoon and proceed to prepare our rafting gear and camp by shore.

We start our exciting adventure through this spectacular canyon. Adrenalin pumping, as we start with the big rapids. First portage (class VI rapid) called "Tu Primero". We may decend this rapid depending on flow.

Next one of the classics of whitewater rafting in the world. This impressive canyon with towering cliffs and big boulders let the clearwaters run forming the legendary rapids os "Z", "Laberinto", "Dolor de Muelas", all of them class V. On our final morning on the river we descend the class IV-V famous rapids of "Resbaladero" and "Babalua Carajo!". The canyon opens up and we reach our take out point where a vehicle will be waiting to return back to Cuzco.

Day 8: We travel to Ollantaytambo where we will see the impressive Ollantaytambo terraces. Comfortable lodging and preparation for Inca Trail.

Day 9: We take an early train to kilometer 105 where we begin our hike to Machu Picchu. We will see many impressive ruins, flora, waterfalls, & quite possibly rain on our uphill journey, this will be a full day of hiking. After a brief visit of Machu Picchu we will stay at a comfortable hotel in the town of Aguas Calientes.

Day 10: We will spend the entire day at Machu Picchu starting at 5am. In the afternoon we will take the train back to Cuzco for a night of fiesta.

Day 11: Food Shopping and flights home.

Things To Pack :
Rain Gear, Sun Block, Hat, Hiking shoes, camera and just remember anything you forget you will not need. If you prefer your personal river gear bring it otherwise we will provide quality gear.

Limitation :
Trip Price includes air travel inside Peru only.
